Introduction:

The Department of English Language & Literature at Sindh University, Larkana Campus, was established in 2013, concurrent with the founding of the campus itself in Larkana. Initially, the department conducted its classes at the Govt. Commerce College building. In 2020, the campus relocated to the ParveenAitsami building on PTS Road, Larkana, providing a more dedicated space for its academic activities.

Since its inception, the Department of English Language & Literature (DELL) has seen approximately 11 batches of students graduate. Over 1000 students have completed their degrees through this department at Sindh University, Larkana Campus. The department has been integral in fostering a scholarly environment and contributing to the academic and cultural landscape of the region.

Recently, the campus has been merged into the University of Larkano, Sindh, marking a new chapter in its institutional history. This merger aims to further enhance academic opportunities and administrative efficiencies while continuing to uphold the academic excellence of the Department of English Language & Literature (DELL).

Mission
To help students see how language and literature are an effective tool to bring about a change that promotes peace, stability, diversity and harmony in a diverse society.

Objectives
-Active involvement of students and faculty in most academic and extra academic activities.

-Arrange seminar at the Department, in which experts from a range of discipline will give talks to faculty and students.

-Reactivate English Literary Club and have students arrange a variety of programs on a given day.
